Methodology and editorial standards

Official sources

Each report identifies its source series and reference period. Data from different agencies or frequencies is presented side by side, not blended into an unpublished composite.

Calculations

Monthly changes compare the same series with the prior calendar month. Quarterly changes compare the same series with the prior quarter and are labeled as non-annualized level changes. Missing prior periods are shown as unavailable rather than interpolated.

Revisions and dates

Source agencies may revise observations. Reports retain a stable monthly URL. The publication date is preserved, while the modification date changes only when the underlying observation set changes.

Automated analysis

The language model receives only programmatically verified directional statements. Its output must reproduce every supplied fact and cannot introduce digits, number words, causal language, forecasts, recommendations, or policy judgments. Invalid output is replaced with a deterministic summary.

Corrections and limitations

Reports are informational and are not investment, employment, or policy advice. Important decisions should be checked against the linked agency release. Confirmed calculation, unit, direction, or wording errors are corrected in the report and reflected in its modification date.
